Frequently asked questions
Everything about turning YouTube recipes into macros. Still stuck? Email us.
How does recipe conversion work?+
Paste a YouTube or blog recipe link into Halv. Our AI extracts the ingredients and steps, then calculates nutrition and macros. You can convert the recipe into different goal-based modes.
What are the 4 conversion modes?+
Normal (as-is nutrition), Cut (reduced calories for fat loss), Lean Mass (clean higher-protein), and Bulk (higher calories for muscle gain). Each adjusts the same recipe to fit your goal.
Is Halv free to use?+
Yes. The free tier includes 5 conversions per week. Halv Plus unlocks unlimited conversions, all modes, meal-prep tools, and more, with a 7-day free trial.
Where is my data stored?+
Your data is securely stored using Supabase. See our Privacy Policy for details. If you use Halv without signing in, your data stays on your device.
How do I cancel my subscription?+
Manage or cancel through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal to avoid the next charge.
Does Halv support meal prep?+
Yes. Halv Plus includes batch scaling (e.g., 5 days × 2 meals) and an integrated grocery list that combines ingredients across recipes.
Which recipe sources are supported?+
YouTube videos and blog/web recipe links. Paste the link and Halv does the rest.
Is the nutrition information accurate?+
Nutrition values are estimates based on available data and calculated deterministically. They're for general reference and not a substitute for professional advice. See our nutrition disclaimer in the Terms.
